What can a PR professional do for you?

What does it mean for a public relations professional to have worked with certain clients / accounts? Do particular clients enhance the image, dependability, and skill of a public relations professional?

The NY Post recently published this article about Tiger Woods hiring George Bush’s former advisor, Ari Fleischer. Fleischer has also worked with Mark McGuire during his steroids controversy.

What does Fleischer has that any other PR professionals don’t have? Is it the people he’s worked with, or simply the results? What truly makes an individual or a company ‘good’?
