Prepping for a TV appearance

In that last week and a half, I’ve had four Public relations clients on local television for segments.

For most people, appearing on live TV is scary, at least the first time. I’m fortunate to have done a lot of TV which lets me coach my clients to be fully prepped for their segments.

The main things to know are 1) prep your content. You know it, but just review what your main points to drive home are 2) Relax and just talk-if you pretend that you’re just having a conversation with some nice person and forget that tons of people happen to be watching, you’ll be good to go.

Here and here are a few sites I use for media training and that you can use to prep for a TV interview.
